The downloadable meshes and textures here are copyrighted by the various artists who modeled them and are artistic interpretations of copyrighted material, which is allowable under copyright law. They are presented for non-commerical / non-profit personal entertainment use. Full copyright credit to the artist should be given when using one of these meshes: failure to do so is a violation of copyright law. It is also a violation of copyright to modify these meshes without permission of the artist or to claim modified work as being copyrighted by anyone other than the original artist. These meshes and textures may not be distributed without written permission from the artists; distribution includes but is not limited to any form of software or art collection including electronic bulletin boards and CD-ROM collections.
LightWave users converting any of these meshes to LightWave format, a copy of your effort would be appreciated so that it many be placed here for others to download and use. Full credit for your work will be given.
Also LightWave users should note that if not given directions in the text file accompanying a mesh, the mesh itself should be placed in a directory of its own in the NewTek "objects" directory. That directory should be given the name of the mesh .i.e "ea1." Textures should go in a new directory with the same name in the NewTek "images" directory.
trueSpace users converting any of these meshes to trueSpace format, a copy of your effort would be appreciated so that it many be placed here for others to download and use. Full credit for your work will be given.
I apologize for all meshes not being in the three formats offered. The simple fact is that it takes time to do conversions and I can only get to these now and then and still produce new meshes and images of my own. Toward the bottom of this page please find a list of links to other great sites offering meshes in various formats. I try not to duplicate the work of other sites, so if you can't find a mesh you want here, please try these other sites.
