Bloodlines

German computer artist Joerg Gerlach modelled two prototypes of the ship Defiant. I thought beside the mesh of the Defiant by Dutch computer artist Martin Hajek the ships would make a fine trio showing the development of Deep Space Nine favorite. While not an interplanetary project, it is definitely international. Deep Space Nine and Star Trek ©1998 Paramount Pictures, a Viacom Company.

Off After A Comet
comet.jpg (49K) 800x600
I've always wanted to produce a comet with a 3-D program. In fact I had tried several times but always discarded the results. This was my 1st attempt using 3D Studio MAX. The evening I finished this, I was quite pleased with the results. Star Trek ©1997 Paramount Pictures, a Viacom Company.

Still After That Comet
comet2a.jpg (56K) 800x600
After rendering the first comet image, I realized that many would not understand that the Enterprise-A and the comet were moving in the same direction. So I reshuffled the objects in the first scene and relit everything for what I believe is a more dramatic image. Star Trek ©1997 Paramount Pictures, a Viacom Company.

It's Still The One -- NCC-1701
1701.jpg (51K) 800x600
About a year ago British computer artist Mateen Greenway and I did extensive research on Star Trek's original Enterprise both modeling in different 3-D programs. Mateen just converted his ship to 3D Studio MAX and sent me a copy. I did this one for all those out there that believe no matter what letter of the alphabet is tagged on after NCC-1701, the original Enterprise is still the one.
