FANTASY

Lord and Lady Whippleberry are having high tea with their strangely shaped but ultimately cute and adorable odd collection of friends and after great discussion decide the world--universe--local pond (fill in the blank) must be saved or the evil, wick, nasty, wizard will destroy world--universe--local pond (fill in the blank), and hand in hand trot off on the great quest.
Not here! We're talking flashing swords--scantily clad, lusty wenches--flagons of ale--sprays of blood--dark menaces--spells that rip the soul from the body--grinding teeth and fiery curses spat in the faces of deaf gods--we're talking sword and sorcery!

A Knight Meets His Match
Goodnite

I'm known as one who generally hates dragons and unicorns. I did this one because someone told me I couldn't. The title says it all. This knight has met his match!.

Is It Fantasy?
Now For Something Completely Different
differnt.jpg (81K) 800x600
I'm not certain one could categorize this as fantasy since spacemen obviously are standing within the image. But this one is so different from what I usually do that it needed to be put somewhere. This started out as a electronic doodle of those metallic-appearing plant thingies (scientific approach there) and simply grew.

Three Against One
Defiance
defiance.jpg (73K) 800x600
This was a test of Poser 2, and I liked the results. There's a sword-swinging barbarian in it so I placed here on the fantasy page. As good a reason as any, I guess.

Skeleton Attack
Roll Them Bones
thembone.jpg (89K) 800x600
A mainstay of sword and sorcery yarns forever--armed skeletons attacking a swashbuckling adventurer--and it still brings chills!

Ax-swinging Barbarian
Warrior
warrior.jpg (39K) 800x600
Originally this cheerful fellow was supposed to be hacking at a wide-eyed, leaping bunny and the title to the illustration was to be "From The Top Of The Food Chain." I decided that was too much.

The Gray Mouser
The Gray Mouser

Perhaps my favorite fantasy character of all time--Fritz Leiber's Gray Mouser. I plucked him from an illustration done for the short story "Lean Times In Lankhmar."
